Location

GMP will have a car camping at the Big Meadow campground in the Shenandoah National Park. Three camp sites have been reserved.

There are 18 spots available. These spots are first-come-first-served.

-- COST

+ the national park entrance fee is $25 per car (free with your National Park pass)

+ camping per night is $5 per person (I will collect this from you at the camp site).

-- CAMPING ACTIVITIES

On each day, we will have the following plans:
+ hike the southern part of the Shenandoah National Park
+ sunset hikes at 3 view points
+ star gazing and photographing of Milky Way
+ food detail/plan will be announced later

-- CAMPING GEARS

At the minimum, you must have an access to a sleeping bag and a pad. Tents... There might be extra tents which you could use. If not, you could rent one from CBWRA or from your local REI.

You could also rent a sleeping bag and a pad from an REI.

-- HOW TO RSVP:

You are welcome to join us for one night, two nights, or three nights. When you RSVP, you must include your arrival day and departure day.

For example, if you were to plan for camping Saturday night and leave Sunday, please let me know by stating "arriving Saturday and leaving Sunday."

If you need a ride, please mention that in your RSVP.

For people who do not have an access to a vehicle, I will do my best to help you with carpool.
